Estimate production time: I work a full-time day job and will work on commissions and check my email only after work/on the weekends. The whole process of creation may take up to a month (badges) or two (stockings). So keep in mind that I will most likely not be able to work on your commission during weekdays.
Payment: Before I accept your commission, I will provide you with a quote for the expected work. Upon agreement of the price and terms, I will send you a Paypal invoice. The prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), except if and when stated otherwise.
Posting the commission online: I reserve the right to publish your commission on Twitter and furaffinity or use it as an example when advertising for open commissions. You may repost the image or use it as an icon anywhere, granted you remember to credit me.
Colour of your badge: The colours of the photos are adjusted to the best of my abilities to reflect what they look like in real life, but different screens might display them a bit differently (i.e: darker, less saturated, etc…). I will always choose the colour closest to your character’s. Coloured pencils are the best option if colour accuracy is a concern, as I have a better selection of them.
Wax crayon VS colouring pencil: You can see the difference in texture when comparing the two options. Wax crayons are more of a novelty, making them a more unique option.
Badges size: The badges are on average 6″ on the longest side (15cm) with some variation.
Badge format: The badge will show your character in a bust or waist-up format depending on your selection, or my own if no input is given on that part.
Backing and lamination: The badge will have a scrapbook backing of my choosing, as I have access to too many to be able to provide a full list. You’re free to request a colour scheme or a theme I can use for inspiration. The badge will be laminated with 5mil plastic which is rigid enough for your badge to not bend easily. If you want me to use a specific paper, you can send it to me through the mail (mailing information will be discussed if required.).
Other: The badge will be delivered with a clip.
Colour of the materials and ornaments: The photos have been adjusted to reflect their real-life colour as closely as possible. But may appear slightly different on your screen. Please keep this in mind while making your choice.
The character on the stocking: I will provide you with a coloured sketch of what the character will look like. Once approved, I will proceed with the crafting part. Note that your character will be simplified to fit the style, as shown in the samples.
Small parts and markings: The material I use won’t permit me to cut and glue very small items properly, which might end up in parts coming undone, or glue spreading around the piece. Because of that, very small details and markings will most likely be omitted. A large number of markings will also increase the price as it would increase the time required to prepare them. Such markings will be simplified to match the style.
Colours I do not already have on hand: I get my materials from Michaels and Fabricville and am limited to what they have in store. If you want to provide your own felt or your decoration(s)/ornament(s), feel free! If you plan to mail felt my way for the stocking itself, keep in mind that it must be a sturdy, non-stretchy felt as I can not guarantee it’ll be able to hold weight if it isn’t. The materials used for the character aren’t required to be as tough. The total price might be lowered if you supply your own felt, as it would require fewer material expenses on my end, but this would have to be discussed first.
Updates: I will provide updates when I think it necessary, or whenever asked for some. I will show you a version of the stocking with the pieces overlayed but not glued down for you to approve before setting anything down in place.
Glued-on pieces: Once things are glued down, it is impossible to remove anything, so make sure that you’ve checked over the pre-glued version closely.
Glue leakages: Please be aware that, while I’ll do my best to avoid it happening, some glue might leak around smaller pieces, and might show through very light colours (such as white).
Convention pre-order delivery: I will deliver the final product at NotReallyDaily(Saucy)’s table. I will ask for proof of identity before the product is handed to you.
Shipping: I ship worldwide. Once the final result is approved, I will request your address to be able to mail it to you. Delivery should take between 3 to 30 days depending on where I’m shipping to. The average delivery time within Canada can take up to a week, up to two weeks for the USA, and up to a month (30 days) when shipping worldwide, but might take longer depending on the posting services. I do not provide tracking unless you are willing to pay for it, or within Canada as it comes at no fee. I will show proof of shipment.
Items lost or damaged in the mail: While I will take good care of your commission before I send it over, I will not be re-making or refunding lost items, or items that have been damaged in transport, as this is out of my control. Any issue with the care of your package once it has been mailed should be discussed with your post office.
